|Treetop Adventure Park
Your place for California zip lining and an adventure ropes course!
North Tahoe Adventures, in partnership with Granlibakken Resort, is pleased to offer the first Aerial Adventure Park in California. Started in Europe, Aerial Adventure Parks are comprised of a series of courses linking tree platform to tree platform with a variety of bridges and zip lines. Ascend to an initial tree platform and then travel through the forest on an aerial trek anywhere from 15 to 50 feet in the air! The Treetop Adventure Park offers a variety of courses, from kids' zip lining to a thrilling adventure ropes courses. Our Treetop Adventure Park is suitable for ages 5+ and all levels of athleticism.
All Treetop Adventure Park participants will be outfitted in climbing harnesses and helmets and be connected to a belay system making it virtually impossible to completely disconnect from the safety cable.
In addition to the 50+ platforms and bridges comprising the monkey courses, our treetop adventure park is family friendly! We recently created a brand-new Flying Squirrel zone that caters to the young adventurers, ages 5+ and beginning climbers. The Flying Squirrel zone consists of 3 different kids' courses and includes a variety of bridges and zip lines, some almost 300 feet long!
Flying Squirrel Courses
Experience treetop family adventures that you'll always remember with our Flying Squirrel Zone! The Flying Squirrel zone consists of 3 difference courses for beginners and kids age 5+.
Green Course – Similar to the rating system at ski areas, the Green course is easiest and includes 8 different events approximately 8 – 10 ft. off the ground.
Blue Course – is intermediate and includes 8 different events that are slightly more difficult than the green. Two of the 8 events are zip lines! This is the introductory course to zip lining!
Black Course – is the Advanced course is for the most adventurous of kids and beginning adults. Similar to a Canopy Tour, the black course involves 3 different zip lines and two bridges with most tree platforms and bridges over 40 feet in the air. The zip lines total almost 1000’ in length.
In order to participate on the Monkey Courses (Older Kids, Adult Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Zone), the participant must be 4’8″ (56 inches) tall. No exceptions. This zone requires the participant to repeatedly switch his/her own SMART Belay “claws” to the new safety cable at every tree. (approx. 200 times)
Maximum participant weight is 260 lbs.
Fuzzy Bunny – is designed to be a beginning course or the next step or transition from the easier Green & Blue Flying Squirrel courses. Eight different bridges including a zip line finish will ease you into this zone and prepare you for the intermediate courses.
Bike Ride – is an intermediate course that has many of the most fun and exciting events you’ll ever find in an Aerial Adventure park. Check it out!
Twins – is the Canopy Tour course in this Zone. It contains eight different events with four zip lines totaling over 500’. You will also walk across a 120’ suspension bridge between “The Twins”, two gorgeous twin Cedars estimated to be 500+ years old.
Spiral – starts with a zip line and finishes with a zip line. Designed to be interactive and within view of other participants, the spiral course is great with friends and family.
Windchimes – is the advanced course for those looking for the most challenging bridges and events. Comprised of 9 different events including two 100’ zip lines and a 300’ zip line, this course should challenge even the most adventurous.
