Open for the ski season from 5 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturdays, and daily during select holidays, Chef Ron Eber and his award-winning culinary team bring creative flair and a skilled culinary cast to the dinner table that is committed to pleasing all palates.

The Cedar House pub offers mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres, hearty main courses, and scrumptious desserts, with gluten-free and vegetarian options available on their menu. Fridays throughout the ski season, diners can enjoy two-for-one entrees.

Eber’s signature creative skills won Granlibakken the coveted Judges’ Award for “Best Marriage of Food and Wine” at the 27th Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival in 2012.

Hors d’oeuvres feature options such as roasted beet and Chevre stack in a creamy goat cheese with fresh basil; baked brie, French onion soup, potato pancakes, fresh-cut French fry basket served with chipotle aioli or the delicious four-cheese macaroni.

Dinner entrees range from an 8-oz tri-tip topped with bordelaise sauce served with mashed potatoes and fresh steamed vegetables, Granlibakken’s Famous Chicken Schnitzel, which is hand-breaded with lemon caper butter, potato pancakes, apple compote and steamed vegetables to spaghetti and meatballs served with homemade marinara sauce. If none of those options are what you’re looking for try the fish and chips, featuring Chef Ron’s famous pub recipe of beer battered Alaskan cod; the All-American Bill Holland Michigan fried chicken basket served with coleslaw and fries or the Big “G” Burger – a pound of natural hand-packed beef patty grilled to order.

Kids have a menu of their own with options such as spaghetti with meatballs, pepperoni or cheese pizza, or crispy chicken tenders with coleslaw.

Group dining options are available for business conferences and weddings with full buffets, sit down dinners, Hors D’oeuvres, a dessert cart and an impressive wine, beer and cocktail menu.

Granlibakken’s Chef Ron Eber once again put his signature creative flair and culinary skills to work by winning the coveted Judges’ Award for “Best Marriage of Food and Wine” at the 27th Annual Lake Tahoe Autumn Food & Wine Festival recently.

The winning combination of stuffed portobello mushrooms with red lentil hash, chevre, duck and red currant paired with a 2010 Morgan Pinot Noir had the judges’ attention right away. And it’s no wonder; Chef Eber has been doing it for years. Whether it is the elaborate theme dinners with dishes like Mahi Mahi Sauté, Top Sirloin with Maitre D’Hotel Butter, Petite Filet Mignon and Shrimp Sauté, or something as simple as “build your own soup and sandwich” lunch buffet, Granlibakken has something for everyone.

Guests will experience Chef Eber’s creative flair and skilled culinary cast, dedicated to pleasing every guest’s palate. In addition to mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres, main courses, and deserts, Granlibakken offers a complete wine and beer list, as well as a full bar.

Granlibakken’s full American plan offers maximum flexibility with a variety of menu choices. Breakfast and lunch are served buffet style; at dinner choose from buffet or banquet service. Special arrangements can be made for private “sit-down” lunches or dinners.

And no Granlibakken food write-up is complete without a mention of its epic early morning menu. Chef Eber well known throughout the state for dishing up the resort’s famous and hearty breakfast buffets, complimentary for every guest. These rise and shine fuel-for-the day offerings feature homemade muffins, quiches, blintzes, eggs, and the daily chef’s special, plus all the accompaniments.
