A wedding set in a 74-acre Lake Tahoe winter wonderland makes for unforgettable and picture-esque memories. Granlibakken Conference Center and Lodge offers several venues for that special day, including luxurious lodging and receptions.
Wedding packages include the ceremony and reception area, lodging, breakfast each morning for guests, a special dressing area for the bride and a living room and kitchen for your rehearsal dinner. Granlibakken offers a variety of memorable sites for year-round Lake Tahoe weddings.
Indoor weddings are featured at the Cedar House, which offers an intimate setting with a massive stone fireplace. The room, which seats 75 (100 with deck) effectively captures the magnificent mountain feeling of the Sierra. The Granhall seats up to 150 and is surrounded with windows overlooking the patio and rustic pines. For larger weddings there’s the Mountain Ballroom, which seats up to 350 guests. The Big Pine offers the intimate indoor Executive Lodge Room with adjoining lawn and deck. Reminiscent of the great room of an old Tahoe lodge with all-wood interior, open beam architecture and an impressive stone fireplace, it is a wonderful setting for any special event.
Outdoor weddings are dependent on the weather and make for fabulous spring and summer spots to tie the knot. The Executive Lodge Lawn seats up to 250 and is designed for weddings and lawn receptions. Set apart from the rest of the resort, the lodge and lawn complement the wooded area surrounding them. The lodge is decorated with warm woods, open beams and a massive stone fireplace. A large outdoor deck opens to a sprawling lawn and natural landscaping including Ponderosa and Jeffrey pines. The Mountain/Garden Deck provides seating for up to 350 and offers an elevated stage for the wedding party and a large seating area for guests.
Receptions include: up to four hours of full wait staff, event set-up and clean-up, tables, chairs, standard linens and tableware. Complimentary to receptions are an event manager, cake cutting, toasting, umbrellas and heat lamps.
Menu selections are varied and suited to your particular desires. Choose a sit-down lunch or a buffet. It’s your wedding and we will work to make the food and service perfect. Optional services include bartenders, a dance floor, microphone and AV equipment and banquet choices.
The dining menu offers elaborate buffets options such as stuffed portobello mushrooms, mahi mahi sauté, and top sirloin with maitre d’hotel butter and a “build your own soup and sandwich” lunch buffet, to theme dinners and elegant banquets with dishes like Petite Filet Mignon and Shrimp Sauté, Granlibakken’s Chef Ron Eber prepares a variety of savory dishes to suit your group’s taste. In addition to mouthwatering hors d’oeuvres, main courses and deserts, Granlibakken offers a complete wine and beer list, as well as a full bar.
