(Tahoe City, Calif.) – Easter Break springs into savings as Granlibakken Conference Center & Lodge (http://www.Granlibakken.com) offers free vacation amenities for kids at its family friendly resort in Lake Tahoe. Lodging, breakfast, skiing, snowboarding, sledding and second day gear rentals for youngsters are all free March 26 – April 10, 2010.

An Easter Egg Hunt will take place at the Tahoe City Commons for Granlibakken’s guests at 10:00 a.m. on Easter Sunday.

Families can call 800-543-3221 and mention “Snow Bunny” to reserve their “Kids are Free” lodging discount. Valid for children under 18, the promotion allows up to four per room from $143 per person Sunday through Thursday, $149 on weekends.

Accommodations include lodge rooms, studios and one-to-eight bedroom townhouses, many with kitchens, fireplaces and private decks. Besides Granlibakken’s ski hill, sled hill and cross country trails, families can enjoy the outdoor heated pool, hot tub, sauna, snow shoe trails and dining at the resort’s Cedar House Pub. The Pub provides a full bar for adults and offers hearty comfort food and kid-friendly options; open from 5-9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Granlibakken offers other lodging deals, including a Ski and Stay Package: $109 per person, based on double occupancy. The Ski and Stay package features lodging, daily hot buffet breakfast and one adult lift ticket to the guest’s choice of Squaw Valley USA, Northstar-at-Tahoe, Alpine Meadows, Homewood Mountain Resort, Sugar Bowl, Mt. The first ski hill at Lake Tahoe and site of the 1932 ski jump Olympic trials, Granlibakken Lodge and Conference Center now combines classic Tahoe charm with high-tech amenities for business groups, families and visitors to the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. The property embraces its Norwegian roots (Granlibakken means “hillside sheltered by fir trees) and European hospitality by way of three Viking ambassadors charged with demonstrating resort perks such as affordable lodging packages, screaming fast internet connectivity and 74 acres of forested serenity just a half mile from downtown Tahoe City, Calif.
