Endless Summer Yoga Retreat
At Granlibakken Tahoe


September 4-7, 2015

The summer’s energy is winding down and already we are preparing for fall, but time still remains for you to give your Self the rest, relaxation and adventure that you deserve and you don’t have to travel far to receive it! This year indulge in a weekend retreat at Granlibakken’s Endless Summer Yoga Retreat and offer your body, mind and spirit blessings of nature, yoga, health and music.


Even the most successful and happiest of lives require moments of retreat and self-care in order for us to see clearly and evolve gracefully.  With this in mind, we have designed a retreat to reinvigorate your yoga practice and your life with time spent in nature, live music vinyasas, ayurvedic counseling and delicious, nourishing meals.
 
Perhaps you have been feeling less creative in your day to day life, or bored with things that have previously motivated and intrigued you. Run free in the mountains and atop the lake and breathe fresh, vital prana and inspiration into your body and soul. Return home refreshed, lighter and more joyful.

Retreat Includes:

SCHEDULE:

DAY ONE: Friday, September 4, 2015
4:00pm Arrival at Granlibakken Tahoe
5pm-6:45pm

Introduction followed by Sound Healing Class – A gathering to move melodically with a live musician. Slip into your space of retreat with mellow flows and relaxing, receptivity through opening asanas.

7:00pm Dinner – Enjoy a restorative dinner
8:15pm Opening Fire Ceremony – Offer your intentions for the weekend. Whether it is a goal, an offering of release or forgiveness, bring an intention and offer it up to our fire of purpose.
DAY TWO: Saturday, September 5, 2015
7:30-9:00am Morning Buffet Breakfast
9:00-10:30am

Morning Vinyasa – Cleanse and clear for rejuvenation through a vinyasa flow of creative sun salutations, deep twists, and lymphatic cleansing combined with purifying pranayama.

10:30-11:00am Meditation
11:30am-12:30pm Lunch
12:30-2:30pm

Personal Care: Treat yourself to personal time with a nature walk, hot tub/pool, spa treatment*

2:30-4:00pm

Daily Session One: Chose your own practice

Option One: Guided Hike – Enjoy the great outdoors of Tahoe with a heart-pumping hike enriched with pranayama, contemplation and asana. Breathe the fresh mountain air and allow self rejuvenation.
Option Two: Yoga Workshop – Let your yoga flow reflect where you are by choosing your favorite poses.  Practice individual based poses while the instructor offers personal adjustments and information.

5:30pm Restorative Dinner

Daily session three:
Devotion in Motion
– Tune into the inspiring beats of our local Spiritual DJ with a high-energy, creative flow for all-levels that will levitate your spirits and perspectives and end with an extended savasana.

8:30pm Social Time – Enjoy food and drink, laughter and cheer with new friends
DAY THREE: Sunday, September 6, 2015
7:30-9:00am Morning Buffet Breakfast

About the Instructor

Ashley Aarti Cooper is the founder of Sustainable Earth Yoga Retreats. She has practiced yoga for eleven years both abroad and in her native United States. In 2009 she traveled to Goa, India, to deepen her spiritual study through her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training; she has been teaching yoga, pranayama and meditation ever since in Massachusetts, California and Argentina.

Ashley is Yoga Alliance Certified, actively studies all eight branches of yoga and is also Reiki I-certified. While guiding yoga Ashley brings her student to their physical edge and encourages them to draw their senses within to experience the more subtle layers of yoga. Concentrating on a true yolking of breath, movement and spirit, Ashley's classes are meditative, explorative and playful.

Ashley is honored to teach everybody and delights in introducing beginners. To better serve her students Ashley draws on many disciplines for holistic approaches specific to each person.
