Whether you’re heading to the beach, exploring nearby towns, attending an event, or visiting Emerald Bay, Granlibakken guests have several ways to get around during summer. Spend more time soaking up everything Tahoe has to offer and less time worrying about traffic and parking.
Tahoe City Event Shuttles
Tahoe City event shuttles pick up guests from Granlibakken's front steps and provide transportation to and from key events. During the summer, shuttle service is provided to Concerts at Commons Beach every Sunday until September 6.

Concerts at Commons Beach
- Every Sunday: Pick up at Granlibakken starts at 1:49 p.m. continuing every hour until 7:49 p.m.
When you board the shuttle, ask your driver about when and where to grab the return shuttle to Granlibakken.

TART Connect On-Demand Shuttle
TART Connect is a free, app-based shuttle service that provides convenient transportation from Granlibakken’s front steps to any location in Tahoe City or West Shore.

- Visiting attractions

Free TART Bus Service
Tahoe Truckee Area Regional Transit (TART) provides free public bus service throughout North Lake Tahoe and Truckee.
Jump on a TART bus at a nearby stop:
- Tahoe Transit Center: 1-mile walk from Granlibakken. Check the mainline schedule for bus departure times.
- Hwy 89 at Granlibakken: Just at the end of Granlibakken Rd. & W. Lake Blvd.
* Exact departure times are not given, but buses often arrive within a few minutes of Transit Center departure.
TART buses have frequent stops and can get you to and from shopping, restaurants, beaches, hiking trails, and local attractions in these communities:
- Tahoe City
- Kings Beach
- Truckee
- Olympic Valley
- West Shore communities

Emerald Bay Shuttle
Spend more time exploring, take the Emerald Bay Shuttle to one of Lake Tahoe’s most iconic destinations.
The Emerald Bay Shuttle operates seven days a week through Labor Day. Shuttle hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Friday to Sunday and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday to Thursday. Fares start at $5 one-way; reduced fares available for children, seniors, veterans, and riders with disabilities.
From Granlibakken, catch the Emerald Bay Shuttle by taking a free TART bus to Sugar Pine Point Campground and transferring to the shuttle.
